Gender pay gap reporting

We are pleased to review and make public our gender pay gap reporting. We have no obligation to report this, as we are not sufficiently large in terms of the number of team, but we feel it is important.
Over the course of the year, we employed 270 people: 151 women and 119 men. Our senior team in stores and in back office has an even split of women and men, and the results support that with a 51%-49% split in the upper quartile. We also have a relatively flat pay structure, with the average pay of the upper middle quartile just 5% higher than that of the lower.
Given the number of team we have, variances in the gaps reported are easily generated but the overall results support a well-balanced and even split. Of the data reported, it is worth noting that bonus eligibility is based on length of service, and a higher % of women have received a bonus than men.

Do we cater to vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/dairy-free diets?

We pride ourselves on being able to offer alternatives to cater to all dietary requirements.

Why don’t we take cash?

We decided to take the leap into the future and become completely cashless so that we could speed up lunch for our guests. Don’t worry, the robots aren’t taking over! We didn’t replace any jobs and actually opened up many more as we now have store hosts who greet guests and more food prep team members to keep up with the speedy service.

Do we recycle?

Where we control the waste services in our stores we recycle whatever we can from the kitchens in store.

Our packaging is recyclable and some even biodegradable, however we know we aren’t perfect and we are trying to make our recycling processes better and easier for everyone, especially in store. Visit our sustainability page to find out more
